Greetings and Welcome to you, my fellow hitch-hiker of the galaxy,
I live in Melbourne, Australia with my 8-year-old daughter and, when my humanitarian aid-worker husband isn’t mitigating disasters off shore, he lives with us too. We like it when he is around.
Currently my family and I are trying to figure out how to make our lives hang together – what with the apartness, the rising cost of living, the demands of career and the desire to actually spend time enjoying each-other, whilst impacting the people and places around us positively.
I began this blog around one year ago, after taking some time out from full-time teaching to regroup and give my main people the support they needed to thrive. It has become a place where I share some of my lounge room philosophising and soul searching through the various lenses of my experiences and roles of teacher, mother, wife, counseller and graduate of the school of hard knocks.
Here you will find a medley of reflective writing on the bits and pieces that are floating or churning in and around my existence.
See you in the soup,
